For the closing performance of the VernalFLUX event, Jonathan Coleclough and Geoff Sawers presented a lengthy, meditative performance of music and written text lasting three hours that people were invited to move about in quietly, and to leave and return to as they wished.

A music of slowly evolving soundscapes that used sounds derived directly from live manipulation of objects such as boiling water, cooling metal, metal ‘singing’ bowls, reheated sparklers, cracking glass, and other sources. The music unfolded in parallel with a text that Geoff Sawers painted; an extended dream sequence narrative that moved back and forth between French, English and Welsh. Brush sounds made in the act of painting were incorporated into the music, and details of the sounding objects were video projected in the space.
